Day one of the dental visits was to the primary school at Lavena, at the eastern end of Taveuni. This beautiful village, known to many visitors to the garden island as the place where the world-famous coastal walk begins, is an attractive settlement very distant from the main area of Taveuni. Our dentists, hygienist and educator arrived early to test their equipment and to set up ready to examine the teeth of the hundreds of school children and staff of Lavena School.
