Taveuni has a hospital. It is neither five star nor beautiful but it does provide excellent care for all those that live on the island of Taveuni. A building is just a building and is rather meaningless without great staff. The nurses who live and work at our hospital were living in what could be only described as appalling conditions. So poor were these conditions that the Fiji government condemned the structure.
To the rescue came the New Zealand government who found the finances to allow Rotary to manage the reconstruction and beautification of the buildings.
We have decided to spare you the before pictures and instead now proudly show you the final result. Well done team!
